Founded in 1969 as Moretonville Junior Football Club, our story began in the heart of Buckingham with a simple yet powerful mission: to give local children the opportunity to enjoy football in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

From a single team in the early days, we’ve grown steadily over the decades to become one of the largest and most respected grassroots football clubs in the North Bucks region.

Today, operating as Buckingham Football Club Youth, we support over 500 boys and girls aged 5 to 18, fielding more than 35 teams across the Milton Keynes and Bedford leagues. Our girls’ section has seen significant growth in recent years, with every age group now proudly represented. We are also proud to deliver football opportunities for children with special educational needs and disabilities through the FA’s Comets programme, further strengthening our commitment to inclusion and accessibility for all.

We are deeply rooted in our local community — working closely with schools, families, and community partners. We’re proud to collaborate with local coaching company Sports 4 All, helping us extend the reach and impact of our football programmes throughout the area.

We are affiliated with the Berks & Bucks FA and consistently hold The FA’s prestigious 3-Star Accreditation – the highest standard available. In recognition of our commitment to excellence, we’ve been invited to join a select group of clubs nationally as a Thriving Community Club — a reflection of our high-quality coaching, top-tier facilities, and strong culture of safeguarding and player development.

As a registered charity (No. 1194505), our club is powered by dedicated volunteers and supported by local families who share our belief in football as a vehicle for building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

Our partnership with the senior team at Buckingham Football Club ensures a clear pathway into adult football, strengthening the link between youth and senior levels and fostering long-term development.
